Celorico da Beira is the northernmost municipality of Serra da Estrela and, due to the quantity and quality of Serra da Estrela Cheese (unmatched by any other location in the country), it is considered the Capital of Serra da Estrela Cheese.

In the region, in addition to all the diversity of walking routes, tourist trails, winter sports, river beaches, inherent to the tourism of the region and Serra da Estrela, you will also find several historical places and villages such as Linhares da Beira, Folgosinho, Melo, among others. Region rich in its gastronomy, cheese and sausages.

The village has small local shops and in Celorico da Beira e Guarda you will find all the necessary amenities and services: hospital, health centre, doctors, restaurants, hotels, bars, supermarkets, municipal library...
